Alexandria Language Schools
Concept-Based Learning & Inquiry Culture

Project Context

This project was developed in response to the need within Alexandria Language Schools to enhance early childhood teaching practices and build classroom environments that foster thinking, interaction, and understanding-based learning.

The program aimed to train more than 100 KG1–KG2 teachers to adopt an inquiry-driven learning culture that aligns with the developmental needs of young children and the requirements of the school environment.

Educational Approach

The program is based on transforming the classroom into a dynamic environment of inquiry, where curiosity becomes the starting point of learning and understanding is built through dialogue and exploration.

The approach focuses on:

  • Inquiry-Based Learning
  • Building conceptual understanding instead of rote instruction
  • Empowering teachers as facilitators and stimulators of thinking

Project Objectives

The program aims to:

  • Enable teachers to design learning experiences driven by children’s questions
  • Develop children’s critical and creative thinking skills
  • Transform classroom practices into more interactive and meaningful experiences
  • Build a classroom culture that encourages dialogue and exploration

Key Features of the Learning Solution

  • Connecting training to real classroom situations
  • Providing practical and classroom-ready models
  • Supporting teachers in transforming daily routines into learning opportunities
  • Building a clear understanding of the teacher’s role within an inquiry culture

    • The project contributes to:

      • Transforming classroom practices toward understanding-based learning
      • Empowering teachers to effectively implement modern learning strategies
      • Building a classroom culture centered on inquiry and dialogue
      • Creating measurable improvements in children’s engagement and learning quality

This project reflects the philosophy of EducQuest that authentic learning begins with meaningful questions and understanding built through experience. Teachers are empowered to transform classrooms into spaces for thinking, while learning becomes an active process led by the child and guided by an educator who fully understands their role.
