Frequently Asked Questions About the EducQuest Methodology
What is the “4T” model?
The “4T” model is a practical framework developed by EducQuest to translate the philosophy of inquiry into applicable learning experiences inside the classroom. The model aims to create “Deep Learning,” with the letter “T” representing four core learning spaces:
-
Identification: awareness of the need for knowledge, where learning shifts from an external response to an internal motivation.
-
Deconstruction: changing the way of thinking and examining assumptions to view the question from multiple perspectives.
-
Discernment: cognitive inquiry and building evidence-based understanding rather than passive acceptance.
-
Reflection: self-reflection and meaning-making, connecting knowledge to the learner’s awareness and world.
Why do we start with the “question”?
At EducQuest, we believe that the question is the starting point of every authentic learning experience. A question is not merely an educational tool; it is a culture that reshapes the roles within learning:
-
It transforms the learner from a recipient of information into an explorer and seeker of meaning.
-
It reignites the spark of innate curiosity that has often been diminished by rote instruction.
-
It enables learners to examine their beliefs and build their own understanding instead of memorizing ready-made answers.
Are the programs suitable for all age groups?
Yes, the inquiry-based methodology is flexible and adaptable to different contexts and age groups. We offer solutions that cover:
-
Early Childhood: such as the “Wijdan” Guide and the “Financial Empowerment” curriculum for children.
-
School Education (K-12): such as Science and Visual Arts curricula.
-
Higher Education: such as the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) program for university faculty members.
The model is designed to be “Adaptable” to the developmental characteristics of each stage.
How can a school implement the methodology?
We do not offer “rigid templates.” Instead, we work as partners with the educational institution through three main pathways:
-
Curriculum Design: developing customized curricula that integrate inquiry with the school’s educational standards.
-
Professional Training: training programs for teachers that equip them with facilitation and inquiry skills, such as the “Culture of Inquiry” program.
-
Consulting: analyzing the current learning environment and providing development plans to transform the school into an inquiry-based learning community.
